200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in India
At Anadi yoga ashram in Rishikesh, we offer 200 hour yoga teacher training course curriculum covers an understanding of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow, introduction to meditation and its various layers while also sharing their teachings of theory and yoga philosophy from basic to intermediate levels in reference to various ancient yogic text and scripture.
This course is a stepping stone towards professional yoga teaching and also established a dedicated yogic lifestyle which enables students to create a strong foundation for understanding their own unique attributes as a teacher.
Our curriculum covers a multitude of facets of Yoga from Asana to Anatomy to Philosophy. You will also be living a Yoga lifestyle in your daily life with us and will therefore imbibe Yoga not just theoretically but experientially too. We offer you a deep understanding of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow together with an introduction to meditation. Classical Yoga philosophy will be taught from the ancient Yogic Texts and brought to you in an easy to understand manner from basic to intermediate levels.
This course is a stepping stone not only for professional Yoga teaching but also for living a Yoga Lifestyle. By living in this manner, you will be more in tune with both the practical and theoretical aspects of Yoga which in turn will enhance your teaching methods. We require our 200 hours YTTC students to adhere to the rules and regulations of conduct set up by our School for a more enriching experience. Compliance with our rules and regulations is mandatory for all students as it enables our students to utilize their time at Anadi most effectively. Our 200 Hours YTTC takes 4 weeks to completer which is a relatively short span of time to learn what we are offering. Nevertheless, with our carefully prepared schedule and our guidance, students can go a long way towards understanding and experiencing Yoga.

Anadi Yoga School offers a variety of Yoga Teacher Training Courses, but our most popular course is the 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Course (RYT 200) as it is open to all. The course meets all of the requirements for Yoga Alliance's RYT 200-hour eligibility and includes modules on Asana (Yoga postures), Pranayama (breathing methods), Anatomy and Physiology as taught by modern science as well as Yoga, Teaching Methods, Yoga Philosophy and Meditation.

Unlike many other Yoga Teacher Training Programs, we at Anadi offer you a complete holistic course to assimilate the wisdom of Yoga easily and profoundly. Participants will become professional Yoga Teachers with an understanding of all aspects of Yoga which can be imparted to others in an authentic and professional way. The daily schedule will remain the same throughout the course except at weekends. However, the focal point of practice will be differ each week and take you more in depth as he course progresses. The first week will be focused on creating a strong and lasting foundation of the various aspects of Yoga as well as understanding the principles of traditional Hatha Yoga Asana, Basic Pranayama and its significance for Asana. In the second week students will be introduced to the principles of alignment and balancing and be given the opportunity to delve deeper into the theoretical concepts of Yoga Philosophy and Anatomy. The Asana classes will be principally based on traditional Hatha Yoga and its modifications in the form of Vinyasa.
The third week will build on what was previously taught taking the students to an intermediate level of asana practice which entails more skilled asanas including deep backbends and inversions
The fourth and final week will be dedicated to practical assessments and an depth analysis of the teachings so far imparted. This week is crucial for consolidation, introspection and self-assessment. Any queries can be raised and discussed in depth to bring out the student’s optimum potential as a Yoga Practitioner and Teacher.
Anadi Yoga School’s 200 hours Yoga Teachers Training Course is available to people across the globe regardless of race, religion, creed or nationality. It is ideal for those seeking to overcome their limitations as it challenges existing thought patterns and belief systems whilst offering tools to transform what seems to be ‘the impossible’ to ‘the possible.’ This 200 hours course enables students to reach their innate potential by reaching unimaginable states of peace, joy and wellness.
English is the medium of communication for this course so a certain amount of English proficiency is needed to fully comprehend the teachings. Other than this, there are no educational eligibility requirements for this course; just being open and keen to learn is the most important factor to make the most of the course.
We do, however, have an age criteria; the student should not be less than 18 years of age nor should he/she be over the age of 60. Should the student fall outside of our age criteria, please contact us and our executive committee will consider your request and make a decision on a case by case basis.
Individuals who have any current or prior injuries or medical ailments are advised to get in touch with the appropriate Medical professional to ascertain their fitness to do the course before joining. Anadi Yoga School would also require a copy of such a letter. In the case of pregnancy, we would require a ‘fitness to attend’ letter from the appropriate medical professional. Should any participant be found to be physically or mentally unfit to complete the course after it’s commencement, Anadi Yoga School has the right to discontinue his/her participation in the course without any refund whatsoever. In specific cases, Anadi may allow students to apply for another course in an agreed timeframe using the fees already paid.
Please note that the our teaching methods at Anadi may differ from what you have experienced in the Western Yoga education system. We, at Anadi Yoga School teach in a way that is more attuned to traditional teaching methods so that you can experience Yoga as a lifestyle and not just as a profession. We request you to be prepared for this novel and unique learning experience and to do all your homework before embarking on a course with us.
Should you be looking for a physical ‘work-out’ based course, Anadi’s course may not be suitable for you as it requires a commitment to a Yoga based lifestyle which will be reflected in our schedule. It is only when you commit to the practice of a Yoga Lifestyle that you can experience the true essence of Yoga at level of mind-body-soul. For any aspiring Yoga Teacher, a 200-hour Yoga Certification is the first and foremost step to teaching Yoga globally. Our Yoga Teachers Training Courses are all certified by the internationally renowned Yoga Alliance which has set up the minimum standards for regulating Yoga across the world. The Yoga Alliance has a set curriculum which must be taught as part of all Yoga Teachers Training Courses. On successful completion of the 200 hrs curriculum from Anadi, an RYS 200 Yoga School (Registered Yoga School at 200 hrs level) with 200 hrs Yoga Certification, our students are eligible for registration with the Yoga Alliance, USA and will receive the title of RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher at 200hrs level).
The 200, 300 and 500 hour certified residential Yoga Teachers Training Programmes are based on the original and most ancient teachings of Hatha Yoga but contain elements of Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga (the more modern approaches to Yoga). Without compromising on the originality of the ancient Yoga system, Anadi carefully integrates all modalities of Yoga required to teach to a high standard in today’s world. All graduates of our 200, 300, 500 hrs programmes are eligible for registration as Yoga Teachers with the Yoga Alliance.
