500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

YA-SCHOOL-RYS-200

Anadi Yoga Centre offers 500 hour yoga teacher training courses in Rishikesh, India. Our courses are certified by Yoga Alliance. Anadi Yoga Centre serves to provide its students with an understanding of traditional Hatha Yoga practice while also sharing their teachings of theory and yoga philosophy from basic to advance levels.

The fees for these courses include food, private accommodation with attached bath, yoga mat, course materials and local sightseeing (rafting in the sacred Ganga River and trekking through the foothills of the Himalayas). The booking amount ($200 non-refundable deposit towards course fees) should be paid with application and the remaining fees can be paid upon arrival. Upon successfully completing the course, students can register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher.

The schedule for our 500 hour yoga teacher training courses are designed to keep in mind that our students deserve to be offered maximum erudition in the limited time that they spend with us. The environment at Anadi is made conducive to focusing on one’s practice and saadhna while developing a deeper understanding of yoga. One of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras is, ‘Citta Vritti Nirodh’, which translates into, ‘cessation of the fluctuations in our mind.’ The repeated and regular yogic cleansing practices (shatkarma), asana practice, meditation and pranayama along with weekly yajna and chanting leads one into exploring a grounded, authentic and liberating experience. The carefully drafted and rigorous schedule invariably leads students to discover their practice without distractions, allowing them to absorb the offerings of this holy land and its rich heritage. Our endeavor is to help students understand and follow yogic lifestyle which they can continue to adapt to as they progress in their journey towards becoming teachers and sharing the joy of yoga with the rest of the world.

We believe in giving all of our students personalized and individual attention. We invest time in observing their strengths and areas of opportunities. We also encourage students to reach out to teachers regarding doubts or additional help required by them. Students will also be expected to complete their homework during the time they are free and will be expected to sleep early so they are well rested for their routine.

While the daily schedule will remain the same through the course (except during the weekends), the focus of practice will be different each week. The first week will be focused on laying strong foundations and understanding principles of alignment. We will dive deeper into the theoretical concepts of philosophy and anatomy in the second and third week and will continue to progress towards more complex asanas including deep backbends and inversions. The forth week will mostly be dedicated to practical assessments and feedback so the students are prepared to conduct meaningful classes based on their personal strengths as teachers.

The 500 hour yoga teacher training course curriculum extensively covers advanced meditation and asana practices which demand discipline and devotion to learning. This course will help students to establish a dedicated yogic lifestyle and enables students to create a strong foundation for understanding their own unique attributes as teachers. We expect our 500 hour students to conduct themselves with utmost dignity and humility while they study at Anadi Yoga Centre. As students of the 500 hour course, they are expected to exemplify high standards of conduct thereby adhering to the rules and regulations of the school. Such strict regulations are mandatory to ensure that the students utilize their time at Anadi most efficiently. Students are advised to expend their energy only in constructive and productive manner during this course to reap maximum benefits.
